2024-2025 Trail Reports

Trail Report - 3-7-2025

Trails are unfortunately closed. That last storm did a number on the system. If more snow comes, we'll re-open. Until then, jone us at our monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 11th at the Frogrock Tavern at 6:00pm.

Trail Report - 3-5-2025

It's a bit wet outside. The groomer went out Monday night up the tracks towards Ashland. We are not closing anything just yet but are asking everyone to stay off the trails until we can asses conditions on Friday. The last couple of years March was our snowiest month so there could still be some solid riding ahead of us even if the short term forecast doesn't look promising. Check back for an update later this week!

Trail Report - 3-2-2025

Groomer was out last night up the tracks and Mug trail. We have a couple days of cold before things warm up and wet weather (not the good type) rolls through. Things are thinning out quite a bit in sun exposed areas. That being said, we'll keep grooming and keep the trails open as long as we can

Trail Report - 2-28-2025

The last storm dropped upwards of 5 inches of wet snow, replacing anything we may have lost with the warm up. The entire system has been groomed over the last 36 hours with the exception of the rail bed. The tracks are flat and in great shape with minimal exposed rail from the train station up to Ashland.

Trail Report - 2-25-2025

The entire trail system has been groomed the last 48 hours. Grooming will continue as temperatures permit during this warm-up. Although we are not intending on closing the trails at this time, we ask that everyone please be respectful of property owners and please be gentle on the trails.

Trail Report 2-22-2025

Groomer has been out across the bulk of the system twice this week. Railroad tracks are groomed with minimal exposed rail. Not much else to say other than local riding is great right now across the state and you should go take advantage of it!

Trail Report 2-15-2025

Groomer was out today and went up the tracks to Ashland, 300 to 104, 303 to Pickerel Pond, out towards Mud Pond, up to Twin Barns and back, and 15 from Waukewan to Prescott Park. We also did a bit more clean up on Logan's Run towards New Hampton. The snow is here so get out and enjoy it tomorrow!

Trail Report 2-14-2025

Snow is coming. Trails are open. The groomer is heading back out tonight. We took care of a few down trees across the RR tracks earlier this week and put some work into Logan's Run between Wicwas and Lake Pemi. Huge thank you to the volunteer help on that trail as well. We'll keep working on it over the next week or so since it's now the main access to New Hampton. We tried to groom the RR tracks but the groomer was slipping off the rails, so hopefully after this storm we'll be able to make it up to Ashland. They are rideable and there is exposed rail in places, so be careful. We are looking at a 2-3 day snow event over the holiday weekend. Go ride! We have snow and all surrounding clubs are open and grooming. Go get it while it's here!

Trail Report 2-8-2025

The season is finally here, and we've got a few updates to share!

Trail Conditions & Grooming
Over the past 48 hours, we’ve been able to groom most of the system. Current conditions are about a 5 out of 10—the cover is thin, and you will hit rocks, but the trails are still worth riding. Keep in mind that the railroad tracks have exposed rail, making them less than ideal. The good news? A storm rolling in tonight should improve things significantly.

To stay updated on grooming, we’ve partnered with Groomer Tracker. This app lets you see real-time grooming updates, including what's been groomed and when. It’s $10, with half of that going directly to our club—so it benefits everyone! Download it here: https://www.groomertracker.com/. Keep an eye out for a dedicated post about it later this week.

New Hampton Trail Access
A quick heads-up for those heading to or from New Hampton: Corridor 300 through the campground currently has no access to Pemi Lake. We’ve been unable to reach the new owners, so grooming through that area is not an option. However, you can still get back and forth via Corridor 303—check the map in the post for the alternate route.
